Cosmos Chain Upgrade

The upgrade is scheduled for block 24,592,000. It is estimated to take place 4 days 16 hours 24 minutes from now.

Install New Binary

cd $HOME
cd gaia
git pull
git checkout v22.2.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v22.2.0
gaiad version

# Should be commit 0cac467f7673929c909aaf99e207d90280ab61a5
gaiad version --long | grep commit

Restart the service and check the logs

Without using Cosmovisor

sudo systemctl restart gaiad
sudo journalctl -u gaiad -f

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v22.2.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/gaiad $HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v22.2.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v22.2.0
$HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v22.2.0/bin/gaiad version

When upgrade block height is reached, Cosmovisor will handle it automatically.
